Icelandic® USA, Inc. is a U.S. corporation and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Icelandic Group hf in Reykjavik, Iceland. The company is the largest importer of frozen groundfish for the foodservice industry in the U.S., best known for Icelandic® and Samband® Brand products, which are served in restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.

NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia. (July 29, 2010) -- Icelandic® USA, Inc., one of the country’s premier seafood companies, is proud to announce the approval of plans to expand their Newport News, Virginia headquarters. The 88,000 square foot, sub-zero facility will store raw materials and finished goods, as well as inventory that is ready to be shipped to customers. Expansion plans were approved before a Newport News city hearing just weeks ago, adding momentum to the project which has been in the planning stages for approximately one year. Icelandic® is currently in the permitting phase and intends to occupy the new facility by May 1, 2011.
